The borough is immediately west to the City of Westminster, east of Hammersmith and Fullham, south to Brent and north to Wandsworth across river Thames. Being an administrative area the borough is home for embassies and high commissions and other affluent areas such as, Notting Hill, Kensington, Chelsea and Knightsbridge. The borough contains museums and universities in south Kensington, departmental stores like, Harrods, Peter Jones and Harvey Nicholas. The borough has major parks, such as, Kensington Garden and Hyde Park.
Kensington and Chelsea borough is a great place to live and work. The borough is well connected with all sort of transportation. The borough has 12 underground tube stations, Crossrail, national rail and over ground. There are also, many bus routes that passes through the borough. The borough has many attractions, such as, British parliament, plenty of open and green spaces and parks, such as, Hyde park, Kensington park and Magnificent Seven Cemeteries. Borough has houses one of the largest Roman catholic church Brampton Oratory. The borough has some notable schools, independent preparatory schools, further education and universities. Hillhouse school whose notable alumni is King George !!!, Kensington and Chelsea college, English national ballet school, Royal college of Art and music. The borough contains one of the largest libraries, Kensington Central library.
